Wild Ark; Preserving Nature

Posted onCategoriesTravel Destination

Travel has always been a way of escape, relaxation, and a general life reset button. With the introduction of the industrial age and all the amazing inventions that came along with it, the environment has been the one to bear the brunt of our modernization. Flying and driving and general trampling have significantly affected the environment and played a role in harming historical sites, indigenous societies and their livelihoods, as well as wildlife. Tourism and travel has been urged to play a role in conserving the environment and contributing to environmental stability.

Travel is not a new concept, but people have started making more environment-conscious travel decisions. It isn’t so much to go on a trip somewhere but to also gain an enriching holistic experience that does not negatively affect the surroundings. Eco-friendly and conservation centered holiday destinations are gaining popularity at a very fast rate. They make great travel destinations and still do their bit in conserving the natural habitat.

One of these destinations is Wild Ark. Though technically, it isn’t a destination. It is a group of people who have come together to conserve the natural beauty and goodness of our planet by restoring the wild places and preserving natural habitats. The founders were a group of passionate conservationists who had one goal; to educate people about the wild while ensuring that the planet is preserved for the generations to come. Mark and Sophie Hutchinson are the founders and they work together with an equally passionate team. Their concerns about the dangers the world’s wild places face push them to continue finding ways to make a difference.

Their mission is to identify and secure green belts around the world and protect the wildlife and rich biodiversity of those particular areas all the while creating opportunities for research and fun. This gives people the opportunity to connect with nature and in turn getting the inspiration to protect it. At the end of the day, it is not just for our children to live in a rich planet with thriving ecosystems, but also for their children and so on.
